Iraq unrest: Deadly car bombs rock Baghdad Shia areas

At least 40 people have been killed in a series of car bomb attacks in predominantly Shia Muslim districts of Iraq's capital Baghdad, officials say.
The deadliest blast was in the northern area of Talibiya, where a car filled with explosives was detonated on a busy street in the evening, killing seven.
The western district of Sadiya and the central commercial area of Karrada were rocked by explosions at the same time.
Some 14 people were killed in bombings in the city earlier on Tuesday.
Such violence is occurring every few days in Iraq, with the death toll reaching a level not seen since 2008. More than 800 people were killed in August alone, with Baghdad province worst affected.
Most attacks appear to be the work of Sunni militants linked to al-Qaeda.
