Shahzeb’s Family Denies RS350 Million Deal Reports

The family of slain Shahzeb Khan has dismissed the media reports that they struck RS350 millions settlement deal with the families of their son’s murderers. On Monday, Shahzeb’s family dropped the murder charges against all four accused responsible of killing their son, stating they have pardoned them “on the name of Allah.” Slain’s father DSP Aurangzeb Khan, mother, and sisters also submitted separate affidavits in the Sindh High Court in this regard. However, a section of media later reported that pardoning was not on the name of Allah and Shahzeb’s heirs struck out a settlement worth Rs350 million with the families of accused in UAE. It was further reported that Australian residency visas had also been issued to Shahzeb’s family members and they were expected to fly to the country in near future. An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi had awarded death sentences to prime accused Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur while two other accomplices Sajjad Talpur and Ghulam Murtaza Lashari had been sentenced to life imprisonment. 20-year-old Shahzeb was shot dead in country’s financial hub late on the night of December 24. His murder resulted from a small argument he had with Siraj Talpur, when his employee Murtaza Lashari molested his sister. Talpur, who was accompanied by his friends, allegedly followed Shahzeb and opened fire on his car near Country Club within the limits of Darakhshan Police Station. Resultantly, he was killed on the spot
